LPN Refresher Course – Retake


Note: If you haven’t filled out a request form to retake the exam, please do so here before proceeding.

The LPN Refresher Course helps a nurse, whose license has been inactive or expired for more than two years or who has not practiced nursing for a two-year period, get their license renewed as required by the Colorado State Board of Nursing.

The Central Colorado AHEC Refresher course is an online “anytime, anywhere” program where the student directs and controls their own learning environment. The program can be accessed from any computer with internet access. 

This program is approved by the Colorado State Board of Nursing

*All payment plans require an initial payment equal to 20% of the cost of the course.

  • The LPN Refresher course is based on and approved by the Colorado State Board of Nursing requirements for a non-traditional program.
  • Course is divided into modules and is self-paced, allowing you to set a schedule that works for you. You have a full year to complete the course!
  • Phase I includes didactic material and the Evolve HESI LPN Case Studies that provide refresher students with “pre-hospital” practice scenarios.
  • Modules include additional learning activities and resources to complement the theory content.
  • Phase II comprises the clinical – program staff can assist you in finding a clinical site near you- no need to travel to downtown Denver. The preceptored clinical is comprised of 80-120 hours of practice in the actual hospital setting (depending on how long you have been out of practice).
